[Well hello there, Barge. Have you ever wanted to watch a super-soldier beat the hell out of a punching bag? Because that's where Steve is, in the gym, intent and focused and scowling at the bag like it's his worst enemy. He takes a slight break to grab a quick drink of water, and then he's back to hitting at the bag. He's clearly been at it for some time, the bag is looking ...somewhat the worse for wear, to say the least, though at least he hasn't knocked it completely off its chain yet.]

[After another pause for water, he finally looks over and sees the comm, then picks it up with a slightly surprised blink.]

Oh, uh. Sorry. I didn't exactly mean to show this.

[A pause.] But if anyone wants to spar, or needs me for anything -- you all know where to find me now, I guess.

[The narration would not blame her one bit if she were actually checking him out. But he turns and sizes her up, with a small awkward smile.]

Think you can take me? [...Alright, so he's not actually going to hit a lady, but he will train with her.]

[She grins and cracks her knuckles, heading to the sparring mats. People who don't know she can punch through solid concrete are the best people.]

[A shrug.]

I'm pretty sure I can, miss.

[Shego smirks and falls into a loose stance.]

Prove it.

Alright then, I will. [So does he, though he's going to let her go first.]

[She takes the invite, going in for a low body jab - no powers yet, but even then she's quick and not exactly hitting below her weight.]

[Which he blocks easily enough, but he doesn't return the jab just yet.]

[It takes a few more blocks and deflections for her to realize he isn't actually going to take a shot. She steps back.]

...So what, do you win fights by letting the other guy wear themselves out whaling on you? Because I know I look dainty and everything but I can actually take a hit.

[A slight headtilt.] Depends on the fight, I guess. [But that gets a quick, sheepish grin.]

Sorry, I'm not -- really used to sparring with, um, ladies, yet.

Yeah, well, I think we just identified your first mistake. I'm not really a lady.

[She moves in for a quick jab and her fist flares green at the end of the strike. Even if he blocks, if it connects at all he's going to be thrown off his feet and maybe thrown back a few yards. She's not really pulling her punches here.]

[He does block, of course, and looks slightly startled, to say the least. It's not often he gets thrown back at all, unless he's fighting something really big.]

Sure look like one.

Semantics. My point is, If I wanted to hit something that wouldn't fight back, that's what I'd be doing.

If you say so. [So he'll be getting in a jab or two in earnest, still unsure whether or not he should be pulling his punches.]

[Shego's resilient, to say the least, though far from invulnerable - and almost too willing to take a few bruises and/or hairline fractures in the interest of a good match. She blocks a couple jabs, takes another in the side and - yeah, definitely felt that. But all she does is grin through the pain and lifts her hands, green energy wreathing her arms to the elbow.]

Better.

[Aaand she lunges in, back to trading blows.]

[Steve isn't exactly invulnerable himself, but he is taken aback by that energy, blinking a little.]

Handy.

[--And yeah, now it's back into the fight.]

You're not exactly factory model yourself. [She smirks, using a pulse of energy to deflect a blow. She's a fan of chatting during combat situations.] What happened?

[A little shrug.] I wanted to serve my country.

[gotgreenmagic]

[She aims a somewhat optimistic jab at his ribs.] So what, you started taking gorilla hormones?

[thestarspangledman]

[Which he dodges, sorry, Shego.] No, I volunteered for a project.

[gotgreenmagic]

[She bounces back and changes tack, unfazed.] Sounds...sinister. What did they actually do?

[A little shrug.] They, uh, injected me with a serum. It made me like this.
