I'll second the warning that what happened in his world or my world is...practically guaranteed to not be the same as yours. But the library here is pretty incredible, so if you want to catch up on your world specifically then there might be some books there to help. Librarian's called Chromie. Nice lady, might have the entire catalog committed to memory.
