[His voice sounds crisp and business-like, no hint of the sadness that obviously should be there. He's trying hard to cover it up, though, and so, he'll keep this brief:]

I think Bucky Barnes has left the Barge. Can't find him in his quarters, can't reach him on the comms. I'd appreciate another verification, though.

[Yes, well, so does Steve. He's already made his peace with losing Bucky once, now he has to again. But he'd gotten used to giving bad news during the war, hearing it too. This is almost the same.]

[She just leaves it at that; they're both private people, and she's shared more with him about her history with James than she's ever shared with anyone. Natasha doesn't really do feelings when she can help it.]
