log 013, actionspam if you want

[Steve is pacing the hallways today, looking rather -- tired, to say the least. He sounds it, too, though mostly it's an overabundance of worry.]

--Hello to any new people I might have missed arriving, and, uh, welcome to the Barge. The best advice I can give you is be prepared for anything. --Which, yeah, does sound a bit cheesy, but it's true. Anyhow, I'm Captain Steve Rogers, and it's nice to have you all on board. If you ever want to say hello, I'm generally around the gym.

[And now, to business]

[Private to the Admiral:]

I'd like to request Sergeant Blake's return to life, please, sir.

[Private to Charles:]

Seems like Tony's been drinking a lot lately. ...More than usual, I mean. Tell me I'm not just worrying needlessly, huh? [Sorry, Charles, but he doesn't have Eddie to hover over right now and all that worry has to go somewhere.]

((OOC: Feel free to run into Steve while he's wandering. He'll be returning to the infirmary eventually, just to play guard dog, but, uh, yeah.))
wedonot: (It's that way dummy.)

We have time. Or I could always, you know. [Read your mind, if that works better. :V]

[That... he wasn't actually expecting, to be honest. Agreement, maybe, but not an assertion that Steve trusted him. There's a part of him - the part that was still twelve, anyway - that had a moment of excitement because Captain America said he trusted him, while the more serious thought was just. Pleasant surprise, honestly, because so many people had made it clear they were uncomfortable with he could do, it was unusual to be given open permission to go diving for information.] Alright. Give me a moment.

[He puts his hand to his temple, carefully finding Steve's mind and focusing on the incident they'd all been brought together to resolve. It's from Steve's perspective, obviously, but he still gets a lot of insight into what it was like - would be like - for Tony. He doesn't pry any further, doesn't think to peek at their interaction on the Barge or what Steve had been up to otherwise, doesn't even think to do it, really, and finally pulls back.]

Thank you. I wish I had an easier solution to offer you, Captain.
wedonot: (Another all nighter.)

For starters, I do think we need to monitor his drinking a little more vigilantly, and make sure other wardens know to keep an eye on him as well. And I do think you need to prove to him that you trust him, and don't think poorly of him. [Because man his self esteem actually sucks. :|]
