May. 27th, 2012 11:58 am[This time, Steve is in the library, quite a few books surrounding him. So far, they have been pretty helpful -- but this isn't about that, really, it's more because he's noticed the date. He looks a good deal more serious than he has before, because this means something to him.]
It's about the time of year when it's getting to be Decoration Day. I guess now it's Memorial Day, right? Anyway, even if you're not from my ..universe, or dimension, or whatever it is, this is important. I'm pretty sure they have wars in other universes, too.
[He pauses a moment, frowning and looking far away for just a second or two, before it's back to business, though his voice is a bit quieter now.]
So, just -- take a moment, today, and think and remember everyone that's been lost in those wars. Whether or not they were fighting for your side or not, they're still the same as everyone else. That's what Memorial Day is for, at least where I'm from; and I wish I could be there to pay my respects. I guess I'll just have to settle for this.
